Mickey Allen Towery, 70, of 123 St. Paul Church Road, Lawndale, died Monday,
April 20, 2015 at Carolina HealthCare System - Cleveland in Shelby.

Born September 27, 1944 in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Clarence
M. Towery and Lois Edna Jackson Towery. He was retired from Doran Yarn and
attended Charity Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene
Towery.

Survivors include his wife of forty seven years, Dessie Christine Watts
Towery; two sons, Richard Towery & wife Becky of Ellenboro and Charlie
Towery of Lawndale ; a daughter, Nancy Wright & Lou Hendrix of Shelby; three
brothers, Tony Towery of Lawndale, Robert "Luck" Towery of Burke County, and
Sherrill Towery of Casar; two sisters, Judy Skates of Waco and Lavonda
"Babe" Morgan of Shelby; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation: 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home and
Cremation Center.

The funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday at Charity Baptist Church with
Rev. Kyeth Lindsay officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
