Monthly Meeting at American Legion, Post 82: 2nd Monday of every month. Meal at 6:00 pm, Meeting at 6:30 pm. Warren F. Hoyle, American Legion, Post 82, 1628 South Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. We invite all Veterans to attend our monthly meetings. If you are a son or grandson of a veteran, you can join the Sons of the American Legion. Members of the Legion family can join the Legion Riders. To join the American Legion, the veteran holds an honorable discharge or is an active duty veteran. Spouses, daughters, granddaughters of a veteran can join the Auxiliary.
Infant Loss Awareness Candlelight Walk: You're invited to a time of remembrance, hope, and healing. October 15th at 5:30 pm. We will gather at Patriot Park in Kings Mountain, 220 S Railroad Ave. This evening is set aside to honor the precious babies we carry in our hearts but not in our arms. There will be guest speakers, music, and a special light walk in memory of our children. Together, we will share their names, their love, and the impact they forever hold in our lives. If you are a parent, family member, or friend who has been touched by the loss of a child, we welcome you with open hearts. Bring your love, bring your memories, and let's lift a light for our little ones who will never be forgotten. "The smallest footprints leave the deepest marks on our hearts." Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley.
