Mrs. Nellie Mae Tessneer, 91, of 208 Caleb Road, Shelby, NC, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. 

Mrs. Tessneer was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah Byers Morrow.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Betty Cannon and husband Donald of Shelby, NC; 1 son, James Tessneer of Shelby, NC; 1 sister, Bessie Smith of Fallston, NC; 13 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
