Odus Richards, Jr., 79, of 324 Moriah School Rd., Casar, passed away
Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland.

Born July 29, 1938 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Odus
Richards, Sr. and Lillie Helton Richards. He was retired from Carolina
Freight as a truck driver and was a member of Hudson Memorial Baptist
Church.

Survivors include his wife of fifty three years, Mavin Hudson Richards; son
and daughter-in-law, Roger and Paula Richards of Shelby; daughter, Julie
Wilson of Belmont; four grandchildren, Chris Richards, Blake Young, Brooke
Richards and Brittany Richards; three brothers, Jessie Richards of Casar,
Carroll Richards and wife Barbara of Casar and Arnold Richards of Hickory
and two sisters, Mildred Herman of Hickory and Grace Belton of Hickory.

The visitation will be Saturday from 12:00Noon until 1:00PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hudson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hudson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
