Patricia Joyce "Joy Bells" Emory
Patricia Joyce "Joy Bells" Emory, 24, of 421 Moriah Church Road, Casar, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on September 28, 1992, she was the daughter of Dr. Christopher "Chris" Scott Emory and Tammy Riddle Emory. Joy Bells was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church, the Beginners Sunday School Class and the Youth Group. She loved to go to church and visit with her church family and friends, but would truly light up when the church choir began to sing. Joy Bells also graduated from North Shelby School.
She is preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Butch Riddle and Jimmy Emory and an aunt, Lisa Rae Emory.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Charity Emory, Jr. of Mt. Holly; two grandmothers, Brenda Riddle Heatherly of Cowpens, SC and Pat Emory of Spartanburg, SC; three uncles and aunts, Tony and Kim Riddle and Todd and Phyllis Riddle all of Cowpens, SC and Michael and Gena Emory of Spartanburg, SC; cousins, Johnathon Emory, Shelley & Trey Brown, Rusty & Page Riddle, Nick Riddle, Trent Riddle, Lauren Riddle, Anthony & Taylor Emory and Matthew Emory; her best friend, BryceLynn Glover; special caregivers, Chantelle Glover, Kathy Hullender, and Maximum Healthcare nurses, Kelly Bivins, Michelle Crance, and Jessica Brady; as well as her dear sweet Morris Memorial Church family and prayer warriors from around the nation.
The family would like to thank the CMC MICU, doctors, nurses, respiratory and staff for the care given to Joy Bells. There is also a very special thank you given to Dr. William Ashe of Asthma & Allergy Specialist Arboretum for the nineteen years of outstanding loving care he gave to Joy Bells.
