Mr. Paul Lafayette "Dick" Hoyle, 89, of 1515 Casar-Lawndale Road passed away
Monday, December 26, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late George Washington Hoyle
and Etta McNeilly Hoyle.  Mr. Hoyle was a member of Casar Masonic Lodge #579
and Casar United Methodist Church where he was Sunday school teacher for the
Young Adult Sunday School Class for many years.  He was a retired long
distance truck driver for forty-three years with JP Stevens in Greenville,
SC. After retiring he drove for Elmore's Feed and Seed for fifteen years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie
Canipe Hoyle and  four brothers, Quinton Hoyle, Javan McNeilly, Tom Hoyle
and Dewitt Hoyle.

Mr. Hoyle is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Charles
Holdsclaw of Mountain Island Lake; sister, Grace Haynes and husband Clarence
D.  of Casar and special friend, Mary Lou Cooke of Lawndale.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 pm Wednesday, December
28, at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at Casar United Methodist Church
with Rev. Bill Lovelace officiating.  The burial will follow in the church
cemetery.
