Peggy Ann Johnson, age 61, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Peggy was born on October 4th, 1962 in Shelby, North Carolina. Peggy was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Tessneer. Peggy was employed with the Cleveland County School system at Burns Highschool for many years as their bookkeeper. She was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church for many years. Peggy was a lady of strong faith and who loved Jesus. She strived everyday to be a blessing to all she came in contact with. Peggy will definitely be missed by all her friends and family who knew her.
Left to cherish the memory of this Godly woman is her loving husband of 42 years, Mark Johnson; one son, Bret Johnson and his wife, Gina; two grandsons, James and A. J. Johnson and one sister, Marcia Wall and her husband Ray.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 , at 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm , at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.
A funeral service to remember the life of Peggy will be held on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Bean & Rev. Trey Newton, officiating. Internment will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
