Cherryville - Mrs. Rachel A. Hale of Dallas Cherryville Hwy.,passed away on
Sunday, January 31, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Hale was born on March 17, 1928 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of
the late Joseph Carroll and Dora Tillison Carroll. She was retired after
working as an inspector at Doran Textiles and a supervisor for Vermont
American. Rachel loved the Lord, her church, her family and loved to serve
others. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville, the Nora
Dellinger Sunday School Class and the Morrison-Williams Circle. Rachel also
sang in the choir for 53 years and worked in the childrens department at the
church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie
O. "Bill" Hale.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Eaker; a grandson, Eric Eaker and
wife Mary Lesley; two great grandchildren, Addie and Ella Eaker and a
special friend, Lecy Quinn all of Cherryville.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 1:30 to 2:45 PM at
First Baptist Church, Cherryville. At other times the family will be at the
home.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church with Dr.
Vince Hefner and Rev. Perry Holleman officiating.

Burial will be at City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville.
