Robert “Bobby” Earl Bivins Jr. age 56 died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland County on July 9, 1958, he was the son of Betty Jo Tate Bivins and the late Robert Earl Bivins, Sr. Bobby attended Northside Baptist Church unitl his illness and was a former route driver for Frito-Lay in Salisbury. When he was able, Bobby was an outdoorsman and enjoyed playing golf and camping.

In addition to his mother, Bobby is survived by two brothers, Donnie Bivins and wife Gwen and Ronnie Bivins all of Shelby; nieces and nephews, Haley and Jason Haire and children, Donald and Pam Bivins and children, Kristi and Chuck Hawkins and son, and Ronnie Bivins II.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
