Born September 19, 1930 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Summie
Canipe and Florence Costner Canipe. He was retired from Fiber Industries
and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. Mr. Canipe served in the US Air
Force.
Survivors: his son, Jeffrey Canipe and wife, Elise of Charlotte and sister,
Ruby Odom of Hickory.
The family will greet friends following the service.
