Ronnie Timms, age 65, resident of Kings Mountain, NC was called home by the Lord on July 25, 2014 at his home.   He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Clifton Eugene Timms.   He was a retired truck driver, former Gaston Co. police officer, and an evangelist.  Mr. Timms had a radio program on WKMT for several years and is a member of Love Valley Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC.  He was  a Godly inspired poet and enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.  He was a Godly and loving husband, father, and grandfather who cared and provided for his entire family.  He served in the United States Air Force. 

SURVIVORS: Wife of 47 years: Wanda Ross Timms, Kings Mtn. NC; Mother: Jessie Mae Timms, Kings Mtn. NC

Daughters: Dana Canoutas and husband Troy, Grover, NC;  Michelle Mayberry and husband Nick, Clover, SC; Wendy Timms, Kings Mtn. NC; Kamie Timms, Kings Mtn. NC; Brother: Morris Timms and wife Darlene, Kings Mtn. NC; Sister: Gail Smith, and husband Mike, Kings Mtn. NC; 10 Grandchildren: Trena Canoutas; Ashley Canoutas Jenkins; Joshua, Brandon, and Matthew Timms; Jessica and Dylan Mayberry; and Isaiah, Jaydin, and Liam Hernandez; and 5 Great Grandchildren: Brenah, Trendon, Logan, Cashton, and Aleah.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Macedonia Baptist Church, Monday, July 28, 2014; 1:00 P.M.  Rev. Michael Horne, Dr. Bruce Davis, and Rev. James Bishop, officiating.

VISITATION: 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Sunday evening, July 27, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
