BOSTIC - Sara Grace Scruggs, 86, of Fair Haven Nursing Home, Bostic, died on Tuesday, April 09, 2013. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on November 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Walter L. Jenkins and Cleo Childers Jenkins. She retired from Tri Community Elementary School as a teacher. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she had perfect attendance for 45 years.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Clark Scruggs; two brothers, Dan Jenkins and Frank Jenkins. She is survived by her step-sister, Carol Nethaway of Rutherfordton; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Jenkins of Dobbinsville; one nephew, Jody Jenkins; one niece, Beat’e Jenkins; several other nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
