Shelby Lions Club Lion Of The Year And New Member

The Shelby Lions Club has recognized Dave Titus as Lion of the Year. He was cited for his work in getting the food distribution project computerized as well as his service on the board of directors. Lion Titus, who is retired from Xerox, transferred to the Shelby Club in 2009, and is now club president. He holds an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology and is active in Shelby Presbyterian Church. The presentation was made at the July 26th meeting. Also, the Lions welcomed new member Caroline Dedmon. The daughter of Lion Hal Dedmon, she has been a volunteer with the food distribution. Lion Caroline is a graduate of East Carolina University and works with the State Department of Transportation. Caroline is a choir member and former choir director at Ross Grove Baptist Church and member of the board of directors of Greater Shelby Community Theatre.
