Joe  Davison, left,  treasurer  of  the  Shelby  Lions  Club,  presents  a  check  to  Ned  Cash,  Commander  of  American  Legion  Post  82  in  Shelby, to  support  the  legion’s  Children  and  Youth  Oratorical  Contest.  The  contests  feature  students  giving  speeches  on  aspects  of  the  U.S. Constitution.
