Shirley Fite McSwain, 66, passed away on January 8, 2012 at home.  A native of Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Rufus Lee Fite and Ruby Edna Foster.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Storm McSwain, and two brothers, Tommy Fite and Kenneth Fite.  Shirley was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, momma and mawmaw who loved spending time with her family.  We love you forever and we will miss you greatly.  Hugs and Kisses.

Mrs. McSwain is survived by her husband, Steven Thomas McSwain; a son, Steven Thomas McSwain, Jr and his sons Tyler, Taylor, Trevor and Tevin McSwain; a daughter, Sherry Lynn McSwain and her children Chelsea, Harley and Hunter McSwain; great granddaughter, Kinley Lynn McSwain; sisters, Zeeann Lowrance, Janet Coggins, Jane Whisnant; brothers, Ronnie Fite and Mike Fite.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the family cemetery located at 111 Kelso Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.  The Rev. David Gordon will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the home.
