Thelma Ingle Putnam
Thelma Ingle Putnam, 91, of Mt. Sinai Church Road, Shelby, entered Heaven's gates Monday, December 12, 2016 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
She was born on January 13, 1925, in Cleveland County, to the late Willie Ingle and Sallie Sarah Turner Ingle. She was a retired cook and attended Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ezra Lee Putnam; two brothers, William Ingle and Glenn Ingle; and seven sisters, Ruth Butler, Velma Parker Oats, Joanne Piercy, Irene Wallace, Pauline Riley, Nell Canipe, and Wilma Whisnant.
She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Smith, and Margaret (Ray) Ledford both of Shelby; three special nieces Susie Cook, Michelle Hoyle, and Jean Cabaniss all of Shelby; special friend Maude Poston of Shelby and many other loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the home of Ray and Margaret Ledford 3602-A Fallston Road, Shelby, NC.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Trexler officiating.
