SHELBY: Tim Simpson, 58, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Ralph and Kathryn Hicks Simpson. He started working at Doran Textiles at the age of 17, and currently working at Shelby Hardware for the last 25 years. He was a member of Peach Street Baptist Church.

SURVIVED: Tim is survived by his son, Travis Simpson and girlfriend Jennifer Spaulding of Boiling Springs; sisters, Serita Simpson of Cherryville, and Joan Guin and husband Drake of Shelby; former wife, Patty Hudson of Cherryville; brother-in-law, Gary Head of Shelby; aunts and uncles, Glenn Hicks and wife Vickie of Kings Mountain, Jerry Packard and husband Dan of Shelby, and Lib Shull of Cherryville.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, October 29, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 12:30-2pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
