Mrs. Tiney Rogers Jones, 90, of Bradley Road, Ellenboro, NC passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010. Services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial  Chapel, Cliffside, NC. Burial followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. 

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Irvan Jones; her parents, Lawson and Lucy Belle Gettys Rogers; and 1 son, Everett Shires, Jr.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Ruth Maxwell and husband Charles, and Lois Shires, all of Ellenboro, and Martha McGinnis and husband Calvin of Rutherfordton; 1 son, Robert Lee Shires of Rutherfordton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
