Mr. Valeriano Saltares, 87 of Mooresboro, NC passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011. A Celebration Of Life Service was held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home.

Mr. Saltares served our country in the United States Army.

He  was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Adela Moreno Saltares; one son, Bobby Edwards; one daughter, Charlotte Edwards; one brother, Jimmy Saltares.

He is survived by his wife of 12 wonderful years, Jessie Mae “Patty” Spencer Saltares; two daughters, Aida Leung-Avillas of Orlando, FL and Connie Cangiamia of Lithia Springs, FL; three sisters, Nieves of Puerto Rico; Julia Moreno of Puerto Rico and Emma Saltares; and numerous nieces and nephews; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and beloved friends Max and Jeanette Bridges and Kevin and Pat Schrounce.
