Cherryville - Mrs. Virginia Mae Earley Womack, 86, of Westgate Dr., passed
away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover.

Mrs. Womack was born in Rutherford County, NC on April 14, 1929, a daughter
of the late Griff Earley and Mattie Shepherd Earley. She was retired from
the textile industry. Mrs. Womack was a member of Second Baptist Church of
Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Furman
Womack; a son, Eddie Lee Hawkins and a sister, Sandra Earley.

Survivors include a son, Larry Hawkins and wife Kim of Forest City; a
daughter, Elaine Christenbury and husband Robert of Cherryville; a brother,
Ronald Earley of Charlotte; two sisters, Barbara Byers and Martha Bailey
both of Forest City; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hawkins Mealer, Kate
Hawkins Tidd, Jason Blackmon and James Christenbury and three great
grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:45 to 1:45PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at
Second Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 2:00PM at
Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
