 Mrs. Virginia Mixon, 89, of Alexander Place Nursing Home, Gastonia, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. A graveside service was held in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. NC.

Mrs. Mixon was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Paul Mixon of Moniac, GA; her parents, John and Mable Martin; her brother, John “Bub” Martin, Jr. and sister, Vivian McDaniel.

She is survived by four sons, Ronnie Mixon and wife Judy, of Gastonia, NC; Jonnie Mixon and Jerry Mixon, both of Kings Mountain, NC; Dennis Mixon and wife Pepi of Bessemer City, NC; Darrell Mixon and companion Cynthia Sheets of Los Fresnos, TX; two daughters, Deborah Smith of Lawndale, NC and Cheri Crawford and companion Todd Fowler, of Gastonia, NC; her sisters, Mrs. Colleen Bennett, Mrs. Mildred Milton and Mrs. Gwen Smith and husband Dean, all of Kings Mountain, NC; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
