Wesley Columbus Cook, 88 of Cook Street, Lawndale passed away, Friday,
January 31, 2020 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born January 3, 1932 in Cleveland County, to the late George Moody Cook and
Della Leona Cook. He was retired from OE Ford and was a member of New
Bethel Baptist Church. W.C. served in the US Army during the Korean War and
was in the Fallston American Legion Post #527.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine
Cook and two brothers, Paul Clyde Cook and Flay Cook.

Survivors include a son, Chip Lattimore and wife, Melinda of Lawndale; a
daughter, Karen Smith and husband, Walt of Wilmington; 5 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Monday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Tracy Jessup officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar.
