William Austin Ellis, 81, of Grover, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at
Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Mr. Ellis was born in Cleveland County on August 8, 1933. He was retired
from Minette Mills and Dicey Mills, and was a member of Redeemed Pentecostal
Holiness Church.

Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his mother Josie Ellis; infant son, David
Austin Ellis; two daughters, Gail Cook and Rhonda Ledford and grandson,
Rodney Yancey.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Laurine Philbeck Ellis; three
daughters and son-in-laws, Wanda and Gary Hamrick, Lisa and Steve Philbeck,
Tracy Duryea all of Grover; six grandchildren and spouses, Katrina and
Travis VanDyke, Wayne and Christie Ellis, Tony Yancey, Stephanie Philbeck,
Melanie Yancey, and David Ledford; five great grandchildren; and
sister-in-law Kathy Reinhardt.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 4:00p.m. to
6:00p.m. at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Redeemed Pentecostal
Holiness Church with the Rev. Coye Sanders officiating. The body will be
placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
