William Luther Martin

William Luther Martin, Sr., 82, of 572 Rock Cut Road, Smyrna, SC, died, Friday, July 27, 2012, at Rehabilitation & Health Center of Gastonia, Gastonia, NC. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of the late Ruby Westmoreland Martin and a son of the late Luther and Georgia Hardin Martin. He was retired from Industrial Minerals, Kings Mountain, NC.

He is survived by one son - William Martin, Jr., of Smyrna, SC; one brother - Oliver Martin of Rock Hill, SC; and one sister - Emma Dixon of Rustburg, VA. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by one son - Keith Hunter Wallace and two brothers - John Martin and Shelton "Bert" Martin.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-7:30 PM at White Columns Funeral Service, Blacksburg, SC. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012, 8:00 AM, graveside, at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Todd Justice officiating.
