Cherryville - Mrs. Willie Sue Engle Howell, 93, formerly of N. Mountain
Street, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Carolina Care Center in
Cherryville.

Mrs. Howell was born in Cleveland County on June 11, 1923 a daughter of the
late Beverly A. Engle, Sr. and Susan Maude Beam Engle. She was a homemaker
and member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church in Vale.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas
Dean Howell; a son, Harlan Howell; four brothers, Clyde, B.A., Thea and Paul
"Bub" Engle; and two sisters, Betty Engle and Inez Hoyle.

Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald Howell and
Paulette; Darrell Howell and Jane all of Cherryville; Garry Howell and
Betty; Randy Howell and Nancy all of Shelby; Steve Howell and Jamie of
Cherryville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim Davis and Ted of Statesville; a
daughter-in-law, Kay Howell of Cherryville; a sister, Bonnie Taylor of
Lincolnton; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at
Cedar Grove Lutheran Church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with
Pastor Jonathan Gantt officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery.
