Ms. Wilma Inez Toney Ray, 82, of 451 Hicks Hill Road, Lawndale, NC, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, NC. Burial was private. 

Ms. Ray was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Toney and Mozelle Hoyle Toney.

She is survived by 3 sons, Alexander Ray of Indianapolis, Indiana, Don Ray of St. Joseph, Illinois, Doug Ray of Lakeland, Florida, 1 daughter, Toni Wyncoop of Lakeland, Florida; 2 sisters, Patsy Gaskey of Lawndale, and Julia Baxter of Shelby; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 318 Old Mill Road, Shelby, NC 28150; or to: Broad River Greenway Fund.
