Zeb Leander Jones, 85, of 1026 St. Paul Church Road, Casar, passed away
Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

He was born in Gaston County, on August 31, 1929 to the late Marvin P. Jones
and Bertha Ellen Parker Jones. He was retired from PPG Industries and was a
member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorlas Cook
Jones; son, Michael Leander Jones; two brothers, Ray Jones and Elbert Jones;
and two sisters, Faye McNeilly and Leonia Hull.

He is survived by his son Joel Jones and wife Chris of Casar; two daughters,
Marty Bowen and husband Joe of Lawndale and Rhonda Ferleger of Casar; seven
grandchildren, Kristy Bowen, Ashley Schweighart & husband Eric, Chelsey
Ferleger, Sydney Ferleger, Shannon Jones, Michael Bowen & wife Meredith, and
Jarrett Jones; and three great grandchildren, Laura Ann Bowen, Maxwell
Bowen, and Josie Schweighart.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Monday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. Condolences may

The funeral will be held on Monday at 3:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home & Cremation Center Chapel with the Dr. Brian Johnson officiating.

The burial will follow in the Morris Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
