Ann Phillips Elliott, age 80, of Henrietta, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford Count.
Born May 24, 1935 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Walter Phillips and Emily Allen Phillips. She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1953 and worked for Phillips & Lawing Fuel as a secretary for many years. Ann was a homemaker and a caretaker for her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta and enjoyed reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Elliott; son Terry Elliott; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Sara and H.E. Lawing and Lib and Willard Spratt.
Survivors include her son, Robbie Elliott and wife, Karen of Rutherfordton; sister, Helen Anderson and husband, Ralph of Forest City; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Steve Beam and Reverend Mike Cash officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
