Hope Community Church, 1114 S. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC, will be hosting their second annual, "Run for Hope 5k" on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 9:00am at the church. It is their desire this year to support a new ministry that their church believes very deeply in, and it's their "our HOPE house". They recently purchased the house next door to the church and are looking to house interns during the summer and to help families in need of housing throughout the year. The interns will be college students and they want to provide them free housing as they will be serving alongside the pastors which will give them a wide range of hands on experience in ministry. The families that will be staying in the HOPE house will have a limited stay and during that time will be equipped to not only become financially and independently stable but gain spiritual knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Revival in the Boro
The "Revival in the Boro" will begin October 1, 2017 at 6:00pm, at the Old Ellenboro School grounds. Throughout the rest of the week services will be held each day at 10:30am and 6:30pm, and ending on the final night of October 7, 2017.
