Mrs. Gantt was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Wesley Gantt; her parents, Emory Spears Fraser and Odessa Deaton Fraser; her daughter, Louise Wesley Gantt; two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her son, Scott Gantt and wife JoAnn of the home; two daughters, Norma Jean Gantt of Shelby and Mary Ann Shuler of Salisbury; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one step grandson.
