Blanch Floyd Rains
 Blanch Floyd Rains, 84, of 143 Rains Road, passed away Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
 
Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Rains was the widow of Etoise Rains and the daughter of the late Millage Devoe Floyd and Nancy Millwood Floyd.  She was a member of New Life Ministries Church of God of Prophesy.
 
Mrs. Rains is survived by three sons, Roger Dale Rains and spouse Diane of Shelby, NC, Steven Michael Rains and spouse Wanda of Blacksburg, Dwight Lee Rains (Ike) and spouse Gaye of Taylors, SC; four daughters, Ginger Diane Ayers and spouse Bill of Blacksburg, Frances (Dolly) Davis and spouse Bruce of Spartanburg, Nancy Upchurch and spouse Rodney of Blacksburg, Debra (Debbie) Purser and spouse Ron of Blacksburg; two brothers, M.D. and spouse Betty Floyd of Blacksburg, Kenneth and spouse Carol Floyd of Sumter; three sisters, Margaret Thorne of Brenham, Texas, Jerre Dixon of Blacksburg, Sherard and spouse Belvie Martin of Orange Park, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Rebecca Sue Wright of Gaffney, brothers Herman and Jack Floyd, and step-mother, Myrtle Blanton Floyd.
 
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 31st, 2012 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 1st, at 3:00pm at New Life Ministries Church of God of Prophecy of Blacksburg with Rev. Phil Smith, Rev. Willie Lanier, and Mr. Chris Hill officiating.  Interment will follow at Hambright Cemetery in Blacksburg.

The family will be at the residence of Rodney and Nancy Upchurch at 143 Rains Road.
