Bobby Ray Earl, 71, of 105 Jimmy Morrison Rd, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone, passed away at Wendover on Monday, December 2, 2013.

He was born in Cleveland County on September 19, 1942 to the late Ivey Clayton Earl and Maudie Mozelle Hudson Earl.  He was retired from Duke Energy and a member of Casar Masonic Lodge # 579.  He also was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and on the new fellowship hall committee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Earl.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Barbara Earl; three sons, Steven Earl and wife Sherrie of Cherryville, Mike Earl and wife Kim of Lawndale, and Jeff Earl and wife Tanya of Belwood; two brothers, James Earl and wife Lucille of Belwood and Wayne Earl and wife Lillie of Polkville; two sisters, Sue Turner and husband Alston of Casar and Linda Marshall and husband Roger of Casar; sister-in-law, Pansy Earl of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Tyler Earl, Makayla Earl, Montana Earl and Karen Landers and husband Mitch; great-granddaughter, Kylie Landers.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers and doctors at Hospice at Wendover for the care provided during Bobby’s illness.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.  Condolences may be made online atwww.stameyfuneralhome.com. 

The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, Lawndale, NC with the Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with masonic graveside rites provided by Casar Masonic Lodge #579.
