Carolyn "Carol" Jennis Stone Short, 79 of Golden Valley Road, Casar, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover, Shelby.

Born in Pickens County, on June 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Marion Willis Stone and Flora Mae Porter Stone. Carol was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Short and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Dora Turner of Casar, Karen Puckett of Greer, SC and Ladonna LaCaze of Duson, Louisiana; brother Edgar Stone of South Carolina; sister, Mary Lou Powell of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Tiffney, Sabrina, Erica, Jessica, Dalton and Drew and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Bridges officiating.
