KINGS MOUNTAIN - Cathy D. French, 60, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her private residence in Kings Mountain, NC. She was the daughter of the late Llewellyn S. French and late Mary P. French of Kings Mountain, NC.
She was married to the late Ken Hamrick of Kings Mountain, NC. She lived an active life and never met a stranger. She was a breast cancer survivor. She bravely faced and fought the disease a second time until she succumbed to the illness. She had strong faith and was a devoted member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, caring sister, and friend to all. She is survived by one sister, Betty Slayton; three children, Manuel French Lafarga Jr., Sabrina Vallidiva, and Christopher Vallidiva; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday March 19, 2016 at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. The service will be officiated by Pastor Greg Neely; the family will receive guests at the church before and after the service.
