Gaffney -- Chucky Dwayne Martin, 35, of 409 8th Street, passed away Sunday, July 16th, 2017, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Laura Scruggs Huitt and he worked at Newark.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Martin is survived by a daughter, Abigail Martin, of Gaffney; a brother, Keith Martin and wife, Ashley, of Gaffney; an aunt, Joyce Harris; and a cousin, Judy Harris.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen "Connie" and Mary Scruggs.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20th, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney, 211 E. Frederick St. Gaffney, SC 29340. His funeral service will be held Friday, July 21st, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Chucky Martin Funeral Fund, C/O Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney, 211 E. Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at the home of his mother, Laura, at 315 10th Street, Lot 5, Gaffney.
