Doris Ann Hunt Bailey, 76, of 7126 Casar Road, Casar, died Wednesday, August
17, 2011 at her residence.
Born May 26, 1935 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Broadus Andrew Hunt and Dovie Lula Ledford Hunt. She was retired from
Carolina Shoe Company and was a member of Ledford Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Flay
Hunt, Bob Hunt and Joe Hunt; and four sisters, Beulah Hull, Mammie Brittain,
Zora Mull and Hattie Causby.
Survivors: include her husband, Franklin "Frank" Bailey; four sons, Jack
Reeves, Jr. and wife Glenda of Cherryville; Mark Reeves and wife, Kim of
Lawndale, Tony Reeves and fiancee, Kim of Shelby and Chuck Reeves and wife,
Chastity of Vale; two daughters, Paula Canipe and husband, Bob of Lawndale
and Dawn Asbury and husband, Rick of Lawndale; sister, Ruby Crotts of
Hickory and 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday at Charity Baptist Church, Lawndale. The
body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
Officiating: Revs. Jackie Price, Jim Rice, Allen Fredell, Rick Asbury
Burial: New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery
