Douglas McKinley Griffin, 79, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Shelby.

Born in Spartanburg County, SC, on March 14, 1944, he was the son of the late William McKinley Griffin and Kathleen Cochran Williams. He was retired form Cone Mills.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Levonda Martin Griffin and daughter Frieda,

He is survived by two sisters Ellen Copes of Gastonia and Joan Harris of Lake Alfred, FL; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023, at 5:00 pm at Crowders Mountain Baptist Church with the Brother Larry Laws and Brother Charles Williams officiating.
