Mr. Parsons served our country in the U.S. Air Force – serving as a Navigator in the 8th Air Force: 34th Bomb Group that successfully completed 35 missions in the European Theater. Later, he served in the Air Transport Command in the Pacific.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Davison Parsons and Harrison Morgan Parson, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Kennon Sanders Parsons of Shelby; 1 daughter, Page of Blowing Rock, NC; 2 sons, David of Charlotte, and Rick and wife Beth of Geneva; and 4 grandchildren.
