Hattie Pearl Davis Mullinax

Gaffney -- Hattie Pearl Davis Mullinax, 89, of 1434 N Limestone St, passed away Friday, October 13th, 2017, at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Boyce Mullinax and the daughter of the late Charles Ray Davis and Mattie Peeler Davis. Mrs. Mullinax retired from textiles and was a life-long member of Sardis United Methodist Church, where she loved to sing. In addition to singing at church, Mrs. Mullinax loved gardening and photography.

Surviving Mrs. Mullinax are one son, Scott Mullinax, of Gaffney; one daughter, Karen Mullinax, of Gaffney; one brother, Charles Davis and wife, Flora, of Mooresboro, NC; one sister, Carrie Davis, of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Mathew and Michael Ponds, Sarah, Boyce, and Christina Mullinax; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by three sisters, Christina "Rae" Stroup, Zula Hughey, and Ethel Stroup Sprouse, and one brother, James "Jimmy" Davis.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15th, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Sardis United Methodist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Don Boshell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Members of the DMW Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
