James Daniel "J.D." Polston, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Atrium Health in Lincolnton.

J.D. Was born in Union County, NC on July 16, 1949 a son of the late Jonas Polston and Viola Churchwell Polston. He retired from construction work.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Blevins and Lily Jane Burchem and three brothers, Skeet, Melvin and Lonnie Polston.

Survivors include two daughters, Sonya Abernathy and husband Andy of Crouse; Tonya Henderson and husband Greg of Georgia; a sister Louise Campbell of Lexington and two grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
