Janet Lynn Chambers

Janet Lynn Chambers, 68, of 251 John E Randall Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.

Born in Shelby, NC on May 3, 1955, to the late John Bell Crook, Jr. and Lela Ethel Moore Crook. Janet was the wife of William Chambers. Janet formerly worked as a machinist. Janet enjoyed sewing, loved collecting dolls, loved to shop, loved and cherished her family. Janet had a special place in heart for her only grandson and loved him dearly..

Surviving Mrs. Chambers in addition to her husband is a daughter, Leslie (Michael) Heath of Shelby, NC, two brothers, Michael (Claudia) Crook and Brian (Jane) Crook of Blacksburg, one sister, Sheila Tate of Mooresboro, NC, and one grandson Steven (Mikaila) Johnston of Kings Mountain, NC. Janet is also survived by two nephews, Ian Crook of Boiling Springs, SC and Michael(Tammy) Crook Jr, of Blacksburg.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will not have a formal visitation but Mrs. Chambers will lie in state until Friday, June 9, 2023 until 11:00 am for friends and family to view at Gordon Mortuary, 400 W. Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Graveside service will be Friday, June 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Greg Moore officiating.

The family will be at their respective residences.
