Junior Alexander Canipe, 86, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
He was born in Cleveland County on May 30, 1927, to the late Rome Canipe and Nancy Jane Pruitt Canipe.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roscoe Smith, Rance Smith, and Tommy Canipe; five sisters, Mozelle Warlick, Nellie Hendrick, Lola Swink, Hattie Huffman, and Leona Smith.
He is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the home of David Canipe, 8627 Old 18 Hwy, Lawndale.
