Kenneth Edward Phillips Sr., 64, of 220 Little Hope Road, passed away on Monday, February 19th, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the husband of Gloria Broom Humphries for 30 years and the son of the late Claude and Nellie Matson Phillips. Kenneth formerly worked in construction and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Phillips are two daughters, Tracie Patterson (Marty) and Felisha Phillips; two sons, Kenneth Phillips Jr. and Shannon Phillips; his step-children, Melissa Broom, April Broom, and Billy Henderson; his siblings, Donna, Aminde, Kathy Harris, and Tim Phillips; his grandchildren, Charm Lee Smith, Otis Zach Patterson, Caleb Andrew Patterson, Kaden Cochran, Kensley Phillips, Cody Mosley, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Doris Varner (late Algie Varner), Kathy and Dane Stapleton, Brenda Broom Jacobs, and Dorothy and Ken Mullinax; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Mitchell Peterson.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family will be at their respective homes.
