Larry Eugene Parker, 70, of 440 Dye Rd, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at his residence.

Born in Blacksburg, SC, he was the husband of Susan Richardson Parker and the son of the late Howard Hardin Parker and Virginia Stewart Parker. Larry formerly worked in production and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Blacksburg. He enjoyed fishing and flying remote-controlled airplanes.

Surviving Mr. Parker are his son, Larry Brent Parker (Crystal); his daughter, Lisa Parker Martin (David); his brothers, Kenneth Parker and Gerald Parker; and his grandchildren, Jessica Parker, Haley Parker, Emily Parker, Dana Powell, Timothy Parker, Matthew Parker, Trent Parker, Wesley Powell, and Christopher Martin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Tristan Parker and Jaxson Parker.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church, 1284 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC . Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm at the church with Rev. Eric Sellers officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties, 295 East Main Street Suite #100, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
