Lucille Wallace Barnette, 93, of 526 Bridges Road, passed away on Monday, November 4th, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Blacksburg, South Carolina, she was the widow of Robert Barnette and the daughter of the late Jessie and Florence Jones Wallace. Lucille formerly worked in textiles and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Barnette are her grandson, Robert Chadwick "Chad" Moss (Katy); her great-grandson, Robert Chadwick Moss II; and her sister, Betty Joe Rogers.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Barnette was preceded in death by her daughter, Violet Barnette Moss, and her sister, Irene Wallace.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church, 618 Old Buffalo Church Road, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will at 3:00 pm at the church with Rev. Harold Johnson and Rev. Jody McGaha officiating. Interment will be at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Josh Batchelor, Jordan Cobb, Chase Cobb, Pete Smith, Derrick Smith and Scott Lawhorn will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, 403 West Montgomery Street, Gaffney, South Carolina 29341.

The family will be at the residence.
