Lura Thackerson McNeilly, 82 of Kings Mountain, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Atrium Health - Kings Mountain.

Born in Cleveland County, on March 13, 1941, she was the daughter of the late David and Millie Thackerson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray McNeilly and daughter, Elizabeth Hope McNeilly.

Survivors include two sons, Tim McNeilly (Jennie) of Wilmington and Phil McNeilly of Shelby; Grandkids, Maddy and Tyler of Wilmington and Caleb McNeilly (Karoline) of Gastonia.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Rick Hamrick officiating.
