Marcia O. Cash

Marcia O. Cash, beloved wife, mother, mawmaw, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on October 28, 2024 at the age of 70.

Born on January 28, 1954 to the late J.D. and Etta Mae Dixon, Marcia lived a life filled with love, adventure, and service to others.
Marcia had a diverse and impactful career in Environmental Health and Safety, where she dedicated herself to the well-being of her community. She was also a skilled trainer in CPR, BLS, and ACLS, sharing her knowledge with countless individuals. Additionally, Marcia pursued her passion for beauty as a cosmetologist and used her skills as a paramedic to help those in need.
Marcia had a passion for life, determined to always live life on her own terms. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether that was spending time at the beach, riding motorcycles, watching her grandson play baseball, or exploring the mountains. She had a particular fondness for choosing the fattest Christmas trees, which became a cherished tradition for her family.

Marcia is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Cash; her daughter, Michelle Wright; her son, Ronnie Wilson (Melissa); her grandson, Rhett Cash; her great-granddaughter, Olevia; and her beloved canine companion, Bocephus. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Marcia's life will be officiated by Pastors Eric Sellers and Scott Whitney at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM, where family and friends can come together to honor her memory and share stories of the incredible woman she was. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:50 prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Clifford's Army Rescue at 518 Lee Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.
