Martha Richardson Bame, age 62, of 1469 West King Street, Boone, passed away Sunday morning, July 21, 2013, at Watauga Medical Center.

Martha is survived by her husband, James Bame of the home; two sisters, Ruby Lingerfelt and husband Kenneth, and Merlene Lingerfelt and husband Charles, all of Vale, and one brother, Gary Richardson and wife Sue of Lincolnton. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Plato M. Richardson and Vangie Gladys Powell Richardson; two brothers, Billy and Max Richardson, and one sister, Shirley Davis.

Graveside services and burial for Martha Richardson Bame will be conducted Friday morning, July 26, 2013, at 11:00 o'clock, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Vale, North Carolina. The body will lie in state, at the gravesite, from 10:00 until 11:00 o'clock.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Laurel Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Melba Watson, 1811 Aho Road, Boone, North Carolina, 28607.
