Mary Ann Stamey Canipe, 85, of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Born in Cleveland County, on March 28, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John Evans Stamey and Ruby Oveda Poston Stamey. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Andrew Canipe; brother, John Evans Stamey, Jr.; and following her mother in death Lisa Canipe-Moss.

She is survived by her son-in-law Jeremy Moss of Lawndale; brother, Dennis Stamey and wife Shirley of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Janette Canipe; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Monday, September 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM with the Revs. Chad Martin and Matthew Stamey officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.
