Cherryville – Mrs. Mary Gragg Lovelace, 76, of 1200 Mary’s Grove Church Rd., passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Mrs. Lovelace was born on September 10, 1935 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Lonnie Eugene Gragg and Eva Price Gragg.  She was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a son, Tommy Lovelace and wife Michelle and a daughter, Betty Eaker and husband Joe all of Cherryville; a brother, Bill Gragg and wife Judy of Connelly Springs; a sister, Ruth McNeilly and husband Forrest of Casar, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Willis of North Brook; five grandchildren, Sandy Heavner, Sarah, Alex and Lynn Lovelace all of Cherryville and Jennifer Eaker Fulkerson and husband Dan of Hickory and one great granddaughter, Emma Heavner of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thomas Lovelace and a son Jimmy Lovelace.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:30PM at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home and other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral Services will be on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00PM at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Norris Willis, Jackie Price and Jerry Brooks officiating.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
